Job Summary
Donegal Manor, 15-bed guesthouse in Donegal Town, needs a dependable Night Porter to keep an eye on the house once the lights go down. You’ll greet late check-ins, handle guest queries, perform light cleaning and security rounds, and make sure everything’s set for the early-morning crew. Perfect for night-owls or students looking to top up their income while enjoying a bit of quiet time (and endless tea!).
Start date and job type
- Immediate start through 31 August (possible extension)
- Part-time: 2–3 nights per week, mainly Friday & Saturday (extra nights as required)
- Shift hours: 10 pm – 7 am
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Welcome late arrivals, process check-ins/outs, handle after-hours requests.
- Security & Safety: Carry out hourly patrols, secure doors/windows and log incidents.
- Housekeeping Touch-ups: Tidy public areas, set up breakfast room, handle small laundry loads.
- Administration: Balance till, prep morning handover notes, update PMS with any overnight activity.
- Emergency Response: Follow fire and first-aid procedures, contact emergency services if needed.

Requirements
- Essential: Reliability and the ability to stay alert throughout an nine-hour night shift.
- Calm, polite manner when dealing with guest queries or unexpected situations.
- Basic computer skills for check-ins and nightly reports.
- Good spoken English for guest interaction and emergency calls.
- Previous hospitality, security or cleaning experience is a plus, but we’ll train the right person.
