We're Hiring: Part-Time & Full-Time Night Porter – Lady Gregory Hotel, Gort
We’re currently seeking a Night Porter to join our friendly and professional team at the Lady Gregory Hotel. This is a great opportunity for someone who is motivated, dependable, and takes pride in delivering excellent guest service, especially during the quiet overnight hours.
About the Role:
As a key part of our front-of-house team, the Night Porter ensures that our guests receive a warm welcome, feel safe and cared for during their stay, and that the hotel operates smoothly overnight.
Responsibilities include:
- Offering a warm, courteous welcome to all guests
- Handling guest queries and requests efficiently and professionally
- Proving service to guests after hours
- Conducting regular security and fire checks throughout the night
- Monitoring hotel safety and ensuring emergency procedures are followed
- Light cleaning and setup duties (e.g. function / meeting room preparation)
- Assisting with late check-ins/early check-outs
- Supporting other departments when needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Friendly, approachable, and guest-focused attitude
- Strong communication skills and fluent English
- Ability to work independently and handle night shifts, including weekends
- Previous experience in a similar role or customer-facing environment is a plus
- Familiarity with hotel systems (e.g. Hotsoft) an advantage but not essential – full training will be provided
