The key purpose of the Night Porter is to ensure the safety and operation of the premises at night. Night Porters also may assist in delivering outstanding customer service and liaise with all other departments to ensure any issues are communicated and resolved.
About McWilliam Park
The McWilliam Park Hotel is a Failte Ireland approved luxurious four-star hotel. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, making it a popular hotel for celebrating special occasions like weddings or to enjoy a romantic break or family getaway.
The hotel boasts 103 comfortable large sized hotel bedrooms, a leisure club (Evolve Health & Fitness) with a fully equipped gym, an indoor heated swimming pool and children’s pool.
Responsibilities:
· · To attend daily team briefings and receive important information about the night ahead, including any customer care issues that are ongoing from the day before.
- To perform periodical fire walks and security walks of premises, ensuring all areas are safe and secure, doors locked and closed areas of the hotel secured.
- To report any safety or maintenance issues to relevant stakeholders as soon as possible; emergencies in real time, other issues before completion of your shift in the morning.
- To accurately and efficiently set up any meeting or function rooms for the following day as required.
- To deep clean any public areas as required.
- To deep clean staff facilities as required.
- To ensure you are using the correct and necessary equipment and chemicals for all tasks assigned.
- To assist guests with any early check outs in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- To assist guests with any late check in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- To perform night audit if requested by management.
- You may be called upon to assist in other ad hoc duties, such as the cleaning of food and beverage outlets or function areas from time to time.
