Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Manager to oversee and support our nursing homes in the West of Ireland. This is a senior leadership role suitable for an individual with a strong background in healthcare management, excellent knowledge of HIQA standards, and a passion for driving quality, compliance, and resident-centred care.
The successful candidate will work 2–3 days per week and play a key role in ensuring robust governance, conducting audits, and providing operational and strategic support to Home Managers and teams on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, guidance, and governance across nursing homes in the assigned region.
- Conduct regular audits of the homes to ensure compliance with HIQA standards and internal policies.
- Support Home Managers in achieving high standards in care delivery, staffing, training, and resident satisfaction.
- Monitor and improve quality and safety indicators across the homes.
- Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Act as a key contact for regulatory inspections and assist in preparing action plans where needed.
- Analyse operational data and provide regular reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and person-centred care.
- Foster positive relationships with staff, residents, families, and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior healthcare management role, ideally within nursing homes.
- Strong working knowledge of HIQA regulations and the Irish health and social care system.
- Excellent leadership, auditing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to travel across sites in the West of Ireland.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility, initiative, and a solutions-focused approach.
Desirable Qualifications
- A relevant third-level qualification in Nursing, Health & Social Care, or Management.
- Registration with NMBI (if clinical background).
- Experience supporting multiple sites or working in a regional capacity.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €45,000.00-€60,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
