Job Description:
Advantage Forwarding Ltd, a leading transport company based in Dundalk, Co. Louth, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Ocean Freight Planner to join our team.
This is a full-time, on-site role in our Dundalk office
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage ocean freight shipments
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, customs declarations, and other required paperwork
- Communicate with carriers, customers, and other stakeholders
- Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers
- Ensure traceability procedures are followed within our transport system
- Manage new and existing customer and supplier files
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in ocean freight planning
- Strong knowledge of general haulage operations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of customs clearance
