Key Responsibilities
· Clinical Governance: Lead and manage the clinical governance framework within the service area, ensuring the highest standards of care delivery. Oversee the daily operations and strategic management of care services to include bed management registry,
· Leadership & Management: Provide leadership to the nursing team, including managing staff, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels. Manage staffing rosters and service delivery effectively daily. Lead, supervise, and support a team of nursing home professionals. Act as the main point of contact PIC for organization
· Policy & Guidelines: Develop and implement policies and guidelines to ensure best practices are followed across the service. Ensure full compliance with HIQA standards and all regulatory requirements
· Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including medical staff and management, to ensure effective service delivery.
· Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, quality standards, and health & safety protocols. Lead audits and ensure continuous improvement. Develop and implement high-quality, person-centred care plans
· Training & Development: Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, promoting ongoing professional development, and maintaining a culture of learning.
· Drive continuous improvement, professional development, and best practices within the team
Requirements
· Meet HIQA requirements to fulfil the role of PIC
· Subject to successful Garda Vetting and 2 References Verified
· Have a minimum of three years’ experience in a management or supervisory role in Health or Senior Care/Social Care sector.
· Hold an appropriate qualification in Health or Social Care management. (minimum level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications).
· Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and relevant legislation
· Experience in managing staff, care plans and operational planning and forecasting
· Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills with references
· Must have full legal right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship available)
