A full time farm laborer needed on a Pig farm.
The Piggery is fully integrated from farrow to finish, and all feed is milled and mixed on site. The size of the pig herd is 300 sows.
The job would entail working 5 days a week and every second weekend for approx. 5 hours on Saturday and Sunday. A Half day also given on Friday for the weekend the employee has off. A typical day during the starts at 7:30am and finishing at 4:30pm.
There are also two breaks throughout the day, one at 10am and another at 1pm.
There is a Kitchen on site which has all appliances required and a TV. There are also clothes supplied along with relevant cleaning and drying facilities for these. There are showers on site.
Working with the pigs the main responsibilities will be to manage the weaners and fatteners but the employee will also be working with all stages of the pigs including the dry sow house and the farrowing house so there is a wide variety of work. Appx. 7 hours of power washing would be done throughout the week also. Basic Maintenance and cleaning inside and outside of the piggery.
Competitive Salary Paid and salary is negotiable dependable on experience.
