Lucan School of Music is seeking a Pre-Instrumental teacher for Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
Our school aims to foster a warm and welcoming environment and provide a positive environment for students of all ages to pursue their goals, whether for exams or for fun.
Responsibilities
After 19 years at our school, our early years music teacher has decided to retire. We are looking for someone to take over her classes which have been a blend of Kodály musicianship, songs, games and ukulele for the older classes. Ideally we would love someone who is from a similar background, but we would be keen to hear from anyone with experience teaching pre-instrumental with any approach. The goal of the class is to foster a solid foundation in the building blocks of music before learning an instrument.
Qualifications
A third level qualification in music / pedagogy and experience teaching pre-instrumental classes would be ideal. A background in Kodály teaching would be ideal, but all applications will be considered.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 8 per week
