Bushypark Preschool requires a Room Leader/Preschool Manager for an ECCE morning session, 5 days per week. This is a 19 hour per week, 38 week term-time contract to cover a career break, 1 academic year minimum
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Manage the day to day running of the sessional ECCE preschool service.
- Lead staff in activity planning and staff meetings.
- Have a working knowledge of the Aistear and Siolta frameworks.
- Follow a child led, emergent curriculum.
- Be responsible for updating policies in line with regulations.
- Liaise with AIM officer, Pobal, DCEDIY, Tusla, Company Director, School Principal, parents as needed.
- Carry out other Room Leader/Preschool Manager duties as needed.
The successful candidate will have:
- A passion for early years education.
- Level 7/8 QQI In Early Education and Childcare or equivalent preferred however Level 6 considered for the right applicant. Applications are also accepted from Qualified Primary School teachers.
- 3+ years paid work experience in the industry.
- Up to date First Aid/Fire Safety/Manual Handling certs. If not it can be arranged
- Children First e-leaning course cert.
- Qualified Designated Liaison Person for Safeguarding or willingness to undertake course.
- Garda Vetting, international vetting, police vetting where applicable
- Good interpersonal, IT and organisational skills.
