My client is looking for an experienced Shift Manager to lead production operations within a high performing food manufacturing environment. You’ll manage a shift team to meet KPIs across quality, safety, cost, and efficiency while ensuring compliance with all GMP and health & safety standards. This role also acts as support or cover for the Production Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate shift operations to meet production and quality targets
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and GMP standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and employee engagement
- Monitor costs and labour efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Maintenance, HR, Logistics)
- Maintain systems and accurate shift reporting
- Manage and support performance, training, and development of team members
Requirements
- 2+ years’ supervisory or management experience in food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of GMP, health & safety, and quality standards
- SAP/MES/SCADA experience desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Shift Pattern & Compensation
- 7am–7pm / 7pm–7am — 4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off (rotating)
- 10–15% annual performance bonus
