Overview of role:
The Project Engineer (Civils) will support the planning, coordination and implementation of projects. The role will collaborate with project management, operations team, contractors to ensure project goals are met within the required timelines, within budget and in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements.
· Scheduling engineering projects and monitoring project delivery.
· Managing compliance with quality assurance policies, standards, and project specifications.
· Collaborate with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders, to ensure project requirements are being met.
· Day-to-day management of the operations team and sub-contractors.
· Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project management.
· Ability to solve problems quickly in a fast-moving environment.
· Specify, procure and manage plant and machinery and equipment.
Essential Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a construction management & engineering.
· Demonstrated experience in a civil engineering or construction management role.
· Proficient in using design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
· Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation, standards and policies.
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications, in particular excel.
· Full Driving Licence.
