Overview:
The Packaging Lead will collaborate with local and global cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion quality throughout the packaging lifecycle. This individual will play a key role in driving packaging performance, managing non-conformances, supporting supplier interactions, and contributing to strategic initiatives that impact our Ireland supply chain.
Responsibilities:
This Packaging Lead will oversee packaging quality and development across our manufacturing sites in Little Island and Carrigaline, Ireland. This is a critical full-time role responsible for maintaining and advancing the packaging standards, processes, and projects that support operational excellence and product quality at our sites.

This individual will play a key role in driving packaging performance, managing non-conformances, supporting supplier interactions, and contributing to strategic initiatives that impact our Ireland supply chain.
- Lead Site Packaging Programs:
- Own and manage critical packaging development and quality programs at the Ireland manufacturing sites.

Support Global Initiatives:
- Act as a site representative for global packaging initiatives, ensuring successful execution and alignment with broader organizational goals.

Quality Management:
- Ensure all packaging materials and processes meet or exceed internal and external quality standards and specifications.

Issue Resolution:
- Manage packaging-related non-conformances (NCRs) and quality issues; lead timely investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.

Audit Support:
- Collaborate with supplier quality teams and support packaging supplier audits; address audit findings and track closure of actions.

Performance Metrics:
- Monitor and drive progress against packaging quality KPIs; implement improvement plans to exceed performance targets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with plant operations, quality, procurement, and R&D to align packaging initiatives with site and business needs.

Change Management & Communication:
- Lead communication and change management efforts related to packaging updates, projects, and improvements.

Innovation & Sustainability:
- Support the development and implementation of packaging innovations and sustainability initiatives in line with company goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in packaging development and/or quality within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record in managing projects and resolving quality issues.
- Experience working with cross-functional and international teams.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, supplier auditing, and change control processes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive projects through to completion.
