Real Estate Tax - Senior Manager

General Information

Location: Dublin/Cork/Galway/Limerick/Waterford

Business Area: Tax

Contract Type: Full-Time – Permanent

EY’s culture promotes a flexible hybrid working environment. Across all aspects of our tax practice, candidates can choose to work from any of our offices in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford.

Excellent opportunity to join a Big 4 Tax practice where you will be part of a high-performing team. Our globally coordinated Tax practice combines exceptional knowledge and experience with local expertise and cutting-edge technology platforms, making us a market leader in Tax services. You will receive exposure to some of EY's most diverse and exciting clients, working with the latest Tax technology solutions in the market. We are currently seeking applications from suitable candidates to join EY’s Tax practice at Senior Manager Level.

Key Responsibilities

You'll spend your time on a diverse array of projects, responsibilities and tasks. One of the main focal points of you work will be advising on transactions against the backdrop of the increasingly complex international tax environment.  This will include, in particular, due diligence in relation to asset and corporate acquisitions, and advising on the structuring of investments and development projects.   A significant element of our work comprises supporting our colleagues in our International Network and advising their clients on inbound investment and development opportunities in Ireland.  In this context, we have a very strong international real estate network, and we work in a very integrated way with our colleagues across the network. Our team is essentially a sub-set of a much larger International Real Estate tax team that operates in a seamless and cohesive manner across jurisdictions.  This creates very significant opportunities in an Irish context given the level of international investment in real estate in Ireland.

Whatever you're working on, our clients will turn to you for up-to-the-minute Tax advice they can rely on. To make that happen, we'll look to you to implement your knowledge of Tax concepts and Law and to project manage the delivery of top-quality advice to our clients such that they optimise their Tax position, but always in the context of the overriding commercial objectives in undertaking the transaction. You’ll be working in a highly collaborative culture, where listening to and sharing information with colleagues is an essential part of the role.
