The Hotel

The multi-award winning Hotel Isaacs, Greens Restaurant and Cask Bar are currently seeking a experienced Recpetionist to join our team.

Hotel Isaacs is a stylish Boutique property located in Cork city centre, just a five minute walk from the city's main thoroughfare Patrick Street, and within easy walking distance of the city's sites & attractions. As well as being attractive to leisure guests, the location is also ideal for corporate travellers. We like to think that we stand out from the crowd.

The property offers spacious guest rooms and Two and Three bedroom apartments each with fully fitted kitchen, living room and dining room. Onsite, the popular and critically acclaimed Greene’s Restaurant enjoys a unique setting under a stone archway, with it’s own courtyard garden and waterfall.

Cask Cocktail bar, located directly opposite the hotel, is one of Cork city s most unique spots to wet your whistle. Opened in 2017 in a former antique shop Cask is a must see when visiting Cork.

The Role

As one of the first people to greet our guests, the hotel receptionist role is key in setting a welcoming tone for every guest on behalf of the entire team in the hotel. We are an experienced, enthusiastic team of hospitality professionals and if you join us you can expect to work in an enthusiastic environment where the focus is on collectively delivering the highest levels of customer care for our guests.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Greeting guests in a warm, friendly manner.
  • Checking in and out guests professionally.
  • Answering calls in a friendly, professional manner, transferring calls to correct extensions and dealing with requests.
  • Taking reservations with care, noting any special requests.
  • Informing the guests about all hotel facilities available to enhance their stay.
  • Ensuring that billing is completed correctly.
  • Dealing with any guest feedback, queries and suggestions quickly and efficiently.
  • Handling all departmental floats and safe deposits, maintaining high levels of accuracy.
  • Contributing to a positive working environment by listening and communicating with colleagues in a respectful manner at all times.

The ideal candidate will be :

  • Fluent english speaker.
  • Friendly, and genuinely care about our guests and have a warm welcoming personality.
  • Have previous experience in reception and related hotel software.
  • Be methodical with high standards and attention to detail.
