This new role will drive the execution of cross functional activities within the Region and will ensure that the trading activity is underpinned by a robust internal organisation. With responsibility for a wide diversity of activities, this role will work hand in hand with the Regional Director (and Regional Manager, where applicable) and will ensure that delivery of customer service and market growth is supported by strong internal processes and cross functional collaboration.
Key Role within the Regional Management Structure:
- Ensures the delivery of the Annual Plan by owning all non-trading activities in the Region. Owner of business processes at Regional level
Single Point of Contact for the Enablement functions:
- Is the daily point of engagement for Finance on topics such as Aged Date resolution, Insurer Settlement Queries, Local Banking and invoice approval
- Ensures adequate Regional staff coaching and development needs are identified and training implemented. Manages conduct and capability issues involving HR where needed. Works with HR to fulfil recruitment activity and build a talent pipeline. Manages Dayforce, owns local starter and leaver processes and works closely with HR on ad hoc HR topics
- Ensures Compliance standards are met within the Region. Ensures compliance requirements are documented, embedded in processes and lived e.g. phone and post service levels and controls, complaints handling, refunds processing, renewals received / issued and error reporting . Ensures implementation of remediation activity
- Participates in IT enhancements definition, new systems development and IT project activity including development of requirements and testing. Ensures the IT starter / leaver process is followed and new colleagues are supported in onboarding. Keeps abreast of OpenI and Relay developments.
- Reporting of Customer Finance Placement : Premium Credit / Premium Finance
Quality Management:
- Regional Liaison with the Quality Assurance function and ensures implementation of remediation activity
- Drives data quality & integrity within the region to ensure ‘right first time’ data entry to facilitate accurate reporting
Insurer and Market Activity:
- At Regional level, managing the overall Commercial Lines Trading Level engagement with Strategic Carriers ( BDMs, Campaign Pools, Product Training Plans)
- Reporting of Regional Placement Strategy for agreed strategic activities
- Collation of market insight from teams & external sources
Change Projects:
- Owner / delivery of small projects within Region
- Supports projects being delivered by the Change Function on behalf of the Region
- Leads local M&A Integration activity
Requirements:
- CIP qualified
- Deep knowledge of the trading function and its processes
- Strong cross functional knowledge including systems, data flows, procedures and reporting requirements
- Ability to drive change including instilling a quality culture, process standardization and optimization
- Ability to work with IT to translate systems requirements into functional specification
