Job Summary
The Compliance Analyst will be part of the Compliance team and will play a support role to ensure that the organisation meets its strategic objectives under the umbrella of the Booking Holdings Inc family of Brands, with a particular focus on Ireland and EEA.
Candidates are required to demonstrate knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to Irish e-money institutions and keep up to date on developments affecting the financial services industry.
The Compliance Analyst will be detail-oriented and motivated to expand their compliance knowledge with a strong ability to gather, analyse and interpret information and documentation critical to the delivery of the Compliance function’s key objectives and goals. This role is essential to ensuring the Compliance team has timely, accurate information to maintain adherence to internal policies and procedures and external regulatory obligations.
This role will report to the Regulatory Compliance Manager
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that compliance registers e.g. regulatory engagement, regulatory reporting etc. are maintained, accurate and up to date.
Provide support with regulatory horizon scanning activities to identify, track, assess and communicate new regulations coming into scope for BHFSI.
Provide regulatory support and advice to relevant stakeholders on regulation relevant to Irish EMI firms e.g. CPC, PSR, EMR etc.
Provide advisory support for various regulatory and business initiatives projects across BHFSI as assigned.
Provide support with the development of regulatory training material and reporting of management information on training completion records.
Provide support with the maintenance of the Compliance Universe to ensure that all applicable regulatory obligations have appropriate owners and effective controls in place.
Maintain compliance documentation e.g. policies and procedures and risk assessments. Ensure that policies and procedures are reviewed and updated in line with the applicable review cycle.
Provide support to the Group Compliance & Ethics programme by liaising with relevant stakeholders to co-ordinate the delivery of reporting deliverables.
Support the smooth running of all activities of the Compliance function in line with the annual Compliance Plan and tracking completion of Compliance deliverables.
Support the co-ordination of Compliance materials for Board and Committee meetings.
Provide admin support relating to Compliance-related projects as required.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of regulations applicable to an Irish electronic money institution.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work, manage multiple deadlines and maintain accurate records.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to review and summarise information to identify trends and regulatory risks.
Excellent attention to detail is required to enable meticulous review of documents to ensure accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Experience of working as part of a cross-functional team and working with all levels of management is preferred.
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience of achieving engagement and delivery from stakeholders.
Strong proficiency in using Google sheets, documents (or equivalent).
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications etc.
Exercise sound judgement, act with integrity to protect our customers, company and stakeholders.
