Retail & Forecourt Assistant Manager – MAXOL Waterford

The Cantillon Group, an award-winning convenience retailer based in Cork, is currently seeking a Retail & Forecourt Assistant Manager for our MAXOL Waterford location. This role will support the Store Manager in achieving store targets—both sales and profitability—through efficient store operations and effective team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily activities of the retail sales team, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Deliver high-quality, consistent customer service at all times.
- Delegate responsibilities and communicate effectively with the retail team.
- Merchandise the store in a customer-friendly and competitive manner, ensuring compliance with company procedures and brand guidelines.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout the store.
- Coordinate in-store sales and promotional activities.
- Support the Store Manager in managing staff, ensuring adherence to labour law, HACCP, Health & Safety, and consumer legislation.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards in the store to ensure a safe working environment.

Pay: €16.00-€16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 42 per week
