Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for electrical products, strong sales skills, and the ability to manage stock and orders using computer systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide knowledgeable advice on a wide range of electrical goods
- Process sales transactions accurately using EPOS systems
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and promotions
- Manage stock, including ordering and receiving deliveries
- Use computer systems for inventory control and supplier ordering
- Ensure the shop floor is clean, organised, and well-stocked
- Assist with merchandising and promotional displays
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues efficiently
Requirements:
- Proven retail sales experience, preferably in the electrical or hardware sectors
- Strong knowledge of electrical products (e.g., appliances, accessories)
- Good computer literacy – experience with ordering systems and stock control software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required
Desirable:
- Technical background or qualification in electrical or electronics (not essential)
- Experience with EPOS and inventory management systems
