We are currently expanding our operations and seeking a dedicated Rigid Truck HGV Driver to join our team. Job Description:
Daily Duties and Responsibilities:
Collection Operations:
- Drive a rigid truck to collect bins from various locations across the West Cork area.
- Follow recurring weekly route schedules to ensure timely and efficient collection services.
- Work alongside an experienced helper and utilize satellite navigation systems for route optimization
Driving Standards:
- Demonstrate exceptional driving skills, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to traffic regulations.
- Exercise caution and responsibility while operating the vehicle to prevent accidents and maintain the integrity of collected materials.
Compliance and Certification:
- Possess an up-to-date CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and driver card to meet legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations throughout all operations.
Work Schedule and Environment:
- Enjoy a full-time, permanent position with a five-day workweek, Monday to Friday.
- Benefit from early starts and early finishes, eliminating the need for overnight stays.
- Work in Bantry town alongside experienced and friendly staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Training and Development:
- Receive comprehensive training upon joining the team to familiarize yourself with company procedures and equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Hold a valid HGV license with experience driving rigid trucks.
- Prior experience in the waste management or recycling industry is advantageous but not essential.
- Possess excellent navigational skills and familiarity with satellite navigation systems.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism.
- Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic, contributing to a harmonious team dynamic.
