Sales Director
The Sales Director is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for developing and executing a national sales strategy that drives profitable growth, margin improvement, and exceptional customer service across all Brooks branches and customer segments. This role provides strategic leadership to the sales team while ensuring alignment with the company’s commercial objectives, operational standards, and long-term vision.
This role will include:
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement a robust sales strategy that supports revenue, margin, and customer growth targets across Ireland.
- Lead pricing strategy in collaboration with the Commercial Manager to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Monitor sales KPIs and pipeline performance across all branches and sectors (trade, retail, and civils).
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and manage branch-based external and internal sales teams.
- Establish a culture of accountability, development, and high performance.
- Partner with HR to recruit, train, and retain top sales talent aligned with company values and customer-first culture.
Customer Engagement & Market Growth
- Oversee the development of strategic customer relationships and engagement across branches.
- Expand the customer base and develop penetration strategies for underperforming regions or product categories
- Ensure delivery of consistent customer service standards and satisfaction metrics in collaboration with operations.
Collaboration & Integration
- Work closely with the Commercial Manager, Operations, Marketing, and Transport colleagues to align efforts and optimise customer offers.
- Support integration of category management, digital tools, and sales enablement systems (e.g. CRM, pricing tools).
- Contribute to product development and promotional planning based on market insights.
Reporting & Governance
- Provide monthly performance reporting to the Managing Director and senior leadership team.
- Manage the sales budget, targets, forecasts, and incentives in line with company financial goals.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and all applicable regulations.

Criteria:
- Proven track record in senior sales leadership within the builders merchant, construction, or distribution sectors.
- Demonstrated success in leading sales teams and achieving revenue and margin targets.
- Experience with B2B, trade, and project-based sales is essential.
