The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Dublin office. This is a permanent role suited to an experienced engineer who is passionate about high-quality design and wants to play a key role in shaping complex, multi-disciplinary projects across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design on a range of project types, from feasibility through to construction and handover
- Collaborate closely with in-house mechanical, sustainability, and BIM teams, as well as external stakeholders
- Attend client and design team meetings, offering technical expertise and design leadership
- Prepare design calculations, specifications, and drawings in compliance with industry standards
- Oversee and mentor junior engineers and graduates, supporting their technical development
- Contribute to internal quality control, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- 6+ years' experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environment
- Proficiency in design software such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux, and AutoCAD/Revit
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status (Engineers Ireland or equivalent)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A team-focused mindset with the ability to manage competing deadlines
