Senior Purchase Ledger Officer

South East Technological University (SETU) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced finance professional to join our dynamic Finance Department as a Senior Purchase Ledger Officer. Based at our Carlow campus, this permanent position is integral to the efficient operation of our purchase ledger function and plays a vital role in maintaining tax compliance, financial integrity, and supplier relationships across the University.

As a key member of the finance team, you will ensure compliance with Revenue requirements, manage supplier accounts, and support financial control processes in line with public sector accountability. This role also involves supervising staff, liaising with auditors, and contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and systems.

We’re looking for someone with strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills, and significant experience in a similar role within the education or public sector.

Salary: Staff Officer Scale – €51,211 to €61,251

Annual Leave: 27 days per year, in accordance with public sector guidelines.
