We are looking for a friendly and reliable Sales Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our busy local newsagent, you will provide excellent customer service and help with the daily operations of the shop.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly manner
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Stock shelves and ensure products are well-presented
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the shop
- Manage newspapers, magazines, and other stock deliveries
- Assist with lottery ticket sales, mobile top-ups, and parcel services
- Follow all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Honest, responsible, and trustworthy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
