Role Overview:
We are looking for a Software Developer with a minimum of 6 years’ experience proficient with the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) to maintain and update one of our core products. Ideal candidates will also bring experience with modern technologies like React, or Rust, demonstrating versatility and a growth mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, update, and enhance existing applications built on the LAMP stack.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective and scalable solutions.
- Participate actively in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and modernisation of our technology stack.
- Write robust test scripts and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment.
- Manage code repositories using GitHub and facilitate collaborative workflows.
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
- Proven experience developing, debugging, and optimising web applications.
- Experience writing effective test scripts and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in using GitHub for code versioning and collaboration.
- EU resident with a valid EU work permit.
- Strong commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity or experience with Rust, Vue.js or React.
- Experience working within agile development methodologies.
- A demonstrated commitment to learning and adopting new technologies.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker for containerisation and deployment.
