We provide services mainly to the construction industry, supporting the development of indoor working and living environment, most notably:
- Air Tightness Testing.
- Sound insulation/acoustic Testing.
- Ventilation compliance.
- Thermal imaging.
Because of growth in business we are advertising the following position to suitably qualified candidates who have the ambition to progress and do well in our company.
Key Responsibilities and Services
- Sound Testing: Carrying out airborne and impact sound tests on walls and floors, often required by Building Regulations, to measure sound transmission between units in buildings like apartments and terraced houses.
- Acoustic Consultancy:Providing expert advice on how to achieve sound insulation targets, which may involve evaluating existing designs, identifying problems, and suggesting solutions.
- Design Input:Working with architects and developers to ensure that new building designs incorporate appropriate sound insulation measures from the outset.
- Material Selection: Recommending sound-absorbent materials like foam and rockwool that convert sound energy into heat, and advising on the importance of mass and creating airtight spaces.
- Compliance with Building Regulations: Ensuring projects meet the requirements of technical guidance documents, such as the Irish Building Regulations Technical Guidance Document Section E.
Qualifications and Expertise
- Professional Qualifications: Educated to at least degree level, with ideally further post graduate structured learning and related qualification. Beneficial to be a member of the Institute of Acoustics (IoA) or other relevant acoustic bodies.
- Specialized Training: (S)He has ideally completed advanced training courses in sound insulation testing and have a strong understanding of architectural acoustics.
- Experience: Extensive experience in measuring sound insulation to international standards (e.g., ISO 16283) and working on various types of buildings is crucial for competency. The knowledge to apply different material types in various sound transfer reduction initiatives would be a distinct advantage.
- Certification: Certified by recognized bodies, such as the SITRI (Sound Insulation Testing Registered Individual) scheme, to demonstrate their competence.

Pay: €37,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
