Specific Purpose Support Worker to cover maternity leave
We are currently looking to recruit a Support Worker to join our existing team for the purposes of covering maternity leave. As a service for women who have experienced trauma, we are currently recruiting WOMEN ONLY. You will be required to work hours assigned to you as designated by your Manager & Team Leader.

Overview: We are a service that provides 24/7 transitional accommodation with support for women and emergency and long-term accommodation for women and families experiencing homelessness. We are currently recruiting for the following positions:
Qualifications and experience:
Essential:
. FETAC Level 5 (or higher) healthcare qualification, or training in healthcB.A.is essential.
. Minimum of 1 years’ experience of working in a social care setting.
Desirable
. B.A. in Social Care (NFQ Level 7) or higher is desirable for this position.
Distinct Advantage
. Knowledge and understanding around addiction and mental health issues.
· Knowledge, understanding and experience of professional supervision.
· Experience of working as part of a team.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Experience of working in the area of housing or homelessness would be a distinct advantage.
· Understanding of the basic issues relating to homelessness. Experience in a homeless sector service would be a distinct advantage.
· The ability to work in a trauma informed way
· The ability to maintain professional boundaries.

Remuneration
Basic rate of pay - €14.82
Overnight Premium + €3.19 per hour
Lone Working premium + €2.50 per hour
Saturday premium + €3.18 per hour
Sunday premium + €5.96 per hour
Bank Holidays double time
Expected hours: 4 week rolling rota comprising a combination of the following shift durations
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
