Start-Up Scale-Up Marketplace Advisor
About the team and the role: As a Start-Up Scale-up Marketplace Advisor, you will be accountable for onboarding SMBs to the platform and supporting them to scale in their first few months of trading.
This role is an outstanding opportunity to expand your knowledge in a core area of growth for eBay and within the UK Business Unit. If you want to work with Business Unit partners and grow our SMB population - this is the role for you!
The successful candidate will operate to a high level of autonomy, have strong communication skills to support relationships with key partners and have the ability to communicate plans and performance with sellers.
Successful candidates will need to also demonstrate the ability to establish effective relationships and trust with key businesses to enable speedy scaling and acceleration of their business performance on our platform.
What you will accomplish:
Partner with SMB accounts that want to onboard to eBay and set clear goals for their onboarding which you will then support them to achieve
Develop the operational and commercial relationship with these sellers in line with the categories/vertical they sell in and successfully convert leads to the Start-Up Scale-Up programme
Coach new sellers that have onboarded in standard processes for efficient scaling on ebay
Educate and influence sellers on adopting ebay’s suite of marketing and promotional tools
Proactively feed back findings to management & the business unit and always seek a better way to support our sellers to grow on the platform
Report sales activities and progress with onboarded accounts into the eBay CRM system
What you will bring:
Able to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions
Proficient in negotiation skills to source critical inventory to ensure seller success on the platform
A confident self-starter and excellently organised, with great communication and problem-solving skills
Able to operate with agility and to navigate change
Consistently achieving results, even under difficult circumstances with an aim to draw actionable insights from data analysis
Able to build rapport and convert sellers to action effectively
Anything else of relevance to specific team/area of the business
In this role, travel for various business events is required.
1 year sell experience
Strong experience within a client relationship management environment
Previous experience in an onboarding and growth role, ideally in an online retail environment preferred but not required
