Job Description
The purpose of this job is to serve as a laboratory support analyst within the client environment to support their technical and analytical tasks, to work to the highest standards in terms of quality and professionalism.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Support Laboratory bioreactor runs – data monitoring, sampling, sample analysis and bioreactor feeding
- Support of key activities in the laboratory such as processing of autoclave and washer loads.
- Support media preparation activities.
- Restocking of laboratory consumables and support of 5S in the lab.
- Perform data review
- Keep up to date with existing and new SOPs and official documentation.
- Contribute to proper use, calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Perform investigations, where required, for Out-of-Specification Results etc.
- Perform sample management activities. Coordinate receipt and distribution of samples.
- Perform other duties as designated by Laboratory Management.
- Develop subject matter expertise on processes you perform.
- Support revision of SOPs or other official documentation and reports, when required.
- Execute independently assigned projects.
Qualifications
- Currently completing Science degree.
- Industrial experience in aseptic techniques is essential, with cell culture a distinct advantage
- Additional experience or exposure to, biotech industrial environment is a distinct advantage
- Practical analytical laboratory experience in a GMP or GLP environment is preferred.
- High attention to detail and high level of discipline in techniques is required
- Analytical skills to troubleshoot laboratory issues are an asset.
- Ability to work well within team structures and provide leadership is required.
- Good communication is a key skill requirement.
This role is just a Saturday day position, with the possibility of working Sundays on occasion depending on client demands. Working hours are 8-16 hours per week.
