We are seeking experienced Support Workers to join us in our new residential centre and work with us to provide a stable and safe living environment for the young people in our care.
As part of the Social Care team you will be playing a crucial part in providing a therapeutic model of care to the young people in our centre.
This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, overnight, and shift work.
Key Responsibilities
· Ensure the provision of a therapeutic approach to meeting the needs of the young people.
· Support each young person to achieve their personal goals.
· Promote the rights of each young person and be attentive to their primary care needs.
· To contribute to the provision of each young person’s care plan.
· To ensure that the young people’s files are updated regularly.
· To ensure the rights and responsibilities of children and young people are respected.
· Attend team meetings and follow the direction of the shift manager.
· To contribute to the promotion, creation and maintenance of a welcoming and caring environment and to a high standard of child care practice throughout the centre.
· To provide a positive life experience for the young people in all aspects of their care and welfare.
· To ensure the centre is clean and well maintained and provide balanced meals for the young people.
· Adhere to and follow relevant legislation, Childcare Act 1991, Children’s Act 2001, Health and Safety Act 2005.
Requirements
· Recognised level 5 qualification in Health or Social Care or equivalent.
· Be eligible to register with CORU
· Training in child protection, trauma-informed care, or therapeutic interventions.
· Experience using care planning and risk assessment tools.
· Full clean Irish driving licence

Pay: €15.50-€17.00 per hour
