The Sustainable Automation BU is enabling the factory of the future driving innovation in technology areas around sensing and control automation. Focus end application areas driving growth are programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS). Our customers such as Siemens, Rockwell, Honeywell and Mitsubishi are asking ADI to help them solve their biggest challenges, often asking ADI to innovate beyond the component level play to software and hardware systems.
Within the sustainable automation BU, the control automation team is seeking a highly motivated, experienced system applications engineer that can support our marketing team to grow the control automation business at >2x than the expected market growth into double digit %.
Responsibilities included are:
Support marketing to drive strategy and growth at our biggest customers.
Work closely with sales to drive pipeline growth and convert opportunities to DWIN and maximize ADI content in customers' systems. Develop technical proposals to support future growth potential.
Drive new product concepts and technology needs at a system level ensuring a differentiated value prop.
Engage customers and ecosystem partners and build world-class customer relationships.
Propose and Develop industry leading system level solutions supporting the needs of control automation.
System analysis including competitive analysis, technical benchmarking etc… to ensure strong value proposition and/or identify current technology hardware and software technology gaps.
Develop system level technical content and collateral to support deep customer engagements and support sales and training initiatives. Identify system and ecosystem pain points that lead to commercial challenges for our customers.

The expectation is that the candidate will have an engineering hardware/software based background, but also with a strong biz acumen to help drive innovation and growth.
Customer and business travel will be part of the role…~20%.
Preferred qualifications
Electronic Engineering with 7-10 yrs relevant industrial experience.
