The Opportunity
As a product manager at Kargo you will be responsible for defining the roadmap for a team, identifying opportunities to grow our client base and keep Kargo at the cutting edge of the ad tech ecosystem. You will be responsible for the successes and failures of your area of ownership and help drive the company to a successful future. You will work closely with engineering to define and deliver a roadmap of features that provide value to your customers.
The Daily To-Do
- Own the long-term vision and strategy for Feed Tech, aligned with Kargo’s business goals.
- Engage directly with other product managers, clients, sales, and internal stakeholders to uncover pain points and define valuable solutions.
- Translate complex technical concepts and user needs into clear, actionable requirements.
- Prioritize ruthlessly: identify MVPs, validate hypotheses, and iterate quickly.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, sales, and client success to bring products to market.
- Ensure engineering has the autonomy to innovate and solve problems while you stay laser-focused on the “why” and “what”.
- Understand system architecture, APIs, and data flows to make informed decisions and trade-offs.
- Drive roadmap discussions and lead feature delivery in an agile environment.
- Serve as a product champion internally and externally.
Qualifications :
- A technical thinker with a strong foundation in software engineering or system design.
- Experienced with knowledge of technologies like AWS, or capable of ramping up quickly.
- You’re not afraid to say “I don’t understand” and ask questions until things click. You believe that curiosity, not ego, leads to better products.
- Passionate about solving real customer problems and delivering measurable impact
- You’re relentlessly focused on understanding the problem — whether it’s business, technical, or somewhere in between. You’re driven by clarity and impact, not just features.
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and making decisions with limited data.
- Skilled at simplifying complexity for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experienced in ad tech (a plus, not a requirement).
- Curious, collaborative, and mission-driven.
