Top Oil has a vacancy for a Terminal and Operations Supervisor at their terminal in Dublin Port. Reporting to: Terminal Operations Manager
General Purpose of the role: The Terminal and Operations Supervisor will be capable of supervising all aspects of oil terminal operations at Top Oil’s Dublin Terminal and also to provide supervisory and general daily product transfer operations from TOP Yard 2 to Yard 1 at the Dublin terminal. A key part of the role is the supervision of drivers loading in the terminal and the organisation and supervision of maintenance contractors. Typically, the role will involve the monitoring of the loading gantry and tank levels along with support for general work permitting, and ensuring contractors adhere to safe systems of work in place at Top Oil’s Dublin Terminal. The terminal operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The successful candidate will be required to fit into a work shift pattern with other supervisory staff.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
HSE
- Understanding and promoting Top Oil’s Safety management system
- Ensure all terminal policies and operation procedures are complied with
- Be fully familiar with relevant emergency response plans and procedures
- Reporting of any defects or unsafe acts or conditions
- Ensure all accidents, incident and near misses are brought to the attention of the Head of Terminal Operations or Deputy Terminal Manager.
- Attend scheduled Terminal HSE meetings.
TERMINAL SUPERVISION AND OPERATIONS
- Supervision of all terminal activities including vehicle loading
- Supervision of maintenance contractors on-site, issuing permits to work
- Supervision of all on-site activities.
- Ensure contractors on-site have a safe system of work.
- Ensure all relevant terminal routine checks are kept up to date and maintain all necessary records.
- Coordinating Top Oil shipping with the appointed contract staff to ensure safe and efficient ship discharge to Top Oil’s storage tanks.
- Carry out product transfers to ensure service tanks have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
- Ensuing all product quality control procedures are implemented.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.
- A strong understanding of oil terminal operations is desirable; however, training will also be provided for all aspects of the role.
- Excellent IT Skills required to include Microsoft packages, especially Excel.
