Purpose of team and role: The Co-Op student will provide direct technical support for the design, startup and execution of the TS/MS laboratory. This role will provide support for laboratory startup activities including facility design and equipment qualification. In addition, this role will also support the design, execution and reporting of studies required to enable site startup.
Responsibilities:
- Support ongoing development of the laboratory facility including equipment configuration and purchase, development of the laboratory data management strategy, establishment of laboratory protocols.
- Supporting laboratory investigations in support of production operations.
- Support a laboratory plan in alignment with the health, safety and environmental team to ensure safe startup and operation.
- Ensure administrative aspects of the laboratory are maintained including ordering of materials, equipment maintenance, and producing and maintaining accurate records.
- Create and review documents including laboratory SOPs, material specifications, protocols, and work instructions.
Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in 3rd level education and ready to pursue student placement as part of an undergraduate program
