Southview Veterinary Hospital, Tipperary
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)
Out-of-Hours: 1 in 6 weekends and 1 weeknight per week
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our Southview team. This is a permanent role with a bias towards Small Animal GP work; however, you will still have the opportunity to work with large animal patients from time to time within a very good shared on-call rota.

About Us
Southview Veterinary Hospital has been caring for both small and large animals since 2003. Over the years, we’ve grown and embraced the latest in veterinary technology to offer high-quality care throughout every stage of an animal’s life. Our fantastic team of 6 Vets, 4 Nurses, and 7 support staff are passionate about learning and staying up to date with the latest advancements. We offer specialist services in Cardiology, Canine Physiotherapy and our modern hydrotherapy suite is led by our in-house Physiotherapist. We also work closely with Paws and local TNR charities.
Based in Tipperary, we’re just an hour from Cork, Limerick, and Waterford – with the scenic Blueway cycle track and river Suir right on our doorstep.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Surgeon with the Veterinary Council of Ireland
- Must have prior experience in Mixed practice; this role is not suitable for someone needing support in routine mixed GP work
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive
