The Waitress / Domestic Assistant will be responsible for providing all domestic functions within the Centre including restaurant and housekeeping duties.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that food is presented in an appealing way during service.
- Seek to understand resident’s needs and requirements when taking food orders
- Serving of meals and drinks ensuring that the correct meals are
served to residents with special dietary needs. Ensure the correct temperature is maintained.
- Report any complaints from residents, family members or staff regarding
quality or quantity of food, menu choices, or dining room environment to the
Head Chef/Manager immediately
- Report all accidents or incidents to the Head Chef/ Catering Manager
- Report any unsafe practices or broken machinery/equipment to the Head Chef/Manager
so that remedial action can be taken immediately
- Use all equipment as trained observing all safe practices, so that accidents
are avoided
- Maintain the food serving area and dining room in a clean, safe and
hygienic condition at all times. To keep all areas and service counters clean and fully stocked.
- Take full responsibility for your allocated area of work on a daily basis. Report any food waste or misuse to Chef/Manager.
- Ensure that all bins are emptied, and all waste is discarded in
the appropriate bin. (Food, Recycling, General Waste)
- Record keeping – ensure that necessary checks are made and recorded
in accordance with our Food Safety Policy.
- Ensure food hygiene and HACCP standards are always adhered to
- Familiarise yourself with the Food Safety Manual and follow the
standards stipulated.
- Report any illness or symptoms of food poisoning or food-borne disease
immediately to the Head Chef/ Manager to safeguard the health of others.
