- Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include receiving and storing goods, picking and packing orders, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the warehouse is organised and safe, including loading and unloading deliveries, operating warehouse equipment which may include using a forklift and pallet trucks. You must be physically fit with the ability to lift boxes weighing up to 25kg.
Receiving and Storing Goods: Unloading delivery vehicles, checking for damaged or missing items, and storing goods in designated areas, potentially utilising equipment such as forklifts and pallet trucks.
Order Fulfilment: Picking and packing customer orders, preparing them for dispatch, and potentially loading them onto delivery vehicles.
Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, potentially using warehouse management systems, and conducting stock counts.
Maintaining a Safe and Organised Environment: Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy, adhering to health and safety regulations, and potentially operating machinery and equipment.
Communication: Communicating with suppliers, distributors, and other team members to resolve issues related to shipments or deliveries.
Quality Control: Inspecting items for damage or discrepancies to ensure that products meet quality standards.
Following Procedures: Adhering to established warehouse procedures for receiving, storing, and shipping goods.
- Skills and Qualifications
Physical Fitness: Warehouse work often involves manual handling, lifting, bending, and reaching, so moderate fitness is generally required.
Attention to Detail: Accurate record-keeping, order picking, and quality control require attention to detail.
Teamwork: Must be able to work as part of a team, so the ability to collaborate effectively is essential.
Organisational Skills: Maintaining an organised workspace and managing stock levels efficiently are essential.
Basic IT Skills: Some tasks may require the use of warehouse management systems or scanning equipment.
Forklift or other Equipment Operation: Experience with operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment may be required. Training will be provided as necessary.

Hours of work: 9 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday (Overtime is essential during busy periods.)
Salary: €28080
