Workshop Manager

Kontour Design Ltd. is seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Manager to lead our busy workshop team. This is a hands-on management role that requires excellent technical knowledge, strong leadership, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring smooth scheduling and timely delivery of projects.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of fitters and workshop staff.
- Maintain quality standards across all workshop output.
- Monitor workflow, allocate tasks, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment to support efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety policies and company procedures.
- Work closely with management to support continuous improvement and resolve operational challenges.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a workshop or production management role.
- Strong technical skills in fitting, fabrication, or related trades.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and take responsibility for meeting deadlines.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
