We are seeking a motivated Accounting Manager to join our team in Galway.
Responsibilities
Accurate processing of supplier invoices, credit notes, and payment transactions
Verifying proper documentation, approvals, and coding before posting to the general ledger
Strict adherence to AP procedures and timelines for weekly and monthly cycles
Handling subcontractor invoices and payments in compliance with Relevant Contract Tax (RCT) regulations
Proactively managing supplier communications—responding to calls and emails professionally and promptly
Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies and supplier queries within set timeframes
Performing supplier account reconciliations weekly and addressing any anomalies
Preparing weekly payment runs and generating payment files for approval
Processing monthly employee expense claims and ensuring timely reimbursement
Providing reception cover as needed, including during breaks and annual leave
Supporting the broader finance team with ad hoc duties and holiday coverage
Candidate Profile
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year’s experience in an Accounts Payable or finance support role
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Prior experience in the construction or engineering sectors is a distinct advantage
Full clean Irish/UK/EU driving licence
Fluent in spoken and written English
