The Role: Administrator Of Golf
The Heritage Golf Resort have a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and driven person to join the team as Administrator of Golf. This is a full-time permanent position.
The Requirements:
The Administrator of Golf provides support to the wider golf operations department.
You will be interacting regularly with members, guests, and tour operators.
You will assist with managing the pre-arrival stage for all golf bookings and assist with data gathering and data analysis.
An integral part of the role will be working with and supporting the competitions committee with the effective management and running of all competitions throughout the club. Therefore, a good knowledge of golf, along with a comprehensive understanding of competition formats and handicapping is required for this role.
A passion for customer service, and the ability to manage your time effectively to ensure that all aspects of the role are fulfilled are important skillsets required.
You will have a sound knowledge of the game and rules of golf.
A background in administration and knowledge of IT office software applications would be required.
Duties will involve involve taking bookings, sending out mail shots to club members, dealing with correspondence , emails and calls.
Coordinate and administer all golf competitions, including preparation of entry forms, draws, scorecards, results, and handicapping updates.
Manage tee time bookings and golf calendars
Liaise with course maintenance, food & beverage, and pro shop staff to ensure seamless event execution.
Oversee the administration of members' annual subscriptions.
Assist with marketing golf events, including writing promotional materials and managing social media or website updates
Working Conditions:
Office based within the golf club
Occasional early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays, especially during peak golf seasons.
Experience:
1–3 years’ experience in administrative roles, preferably in a sporting or hospitality environment.
Experience with golf operations or knowledge of the business of golf.
Knowledge of golf rules, formats, and handicapping systems (e.g., WHS – World Handicap System).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with golf management software (BRS, Golf Club Subs, HandicapMaster) is an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure.
