Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a committed and enthusiastic After-School Activity Leader to deliver high-quality, structured sessions in multi-sports, arts and crafts, and drama for primary-aged students. Based in a school located in South County Dublin, this part-time role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children in a creative, active, and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, leading, and supervising engaging after-school sessions, while maintaining a safe and inclusive atmosphere. This position requires prior experience working with children, as well as the ability to manage group activities in a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Activity Facilitation:
- Plan and deliver after-school sessions in multi-sports, arts and crafts, and drama, adapted for different age groups and abilities
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation, creativity, and collaboration
- Adjust activities to suit group energy, interests, and available space or materials
Child Supervision and Safety:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times
- Set up and pack away equipment before and after each session
- Maintain an organized and hazard-free activity area
Communication and Collaboration:
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, school staff, and colleagues
- Provide regular feedback to parents regarding children’s engagement and progress
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure program quality and consistency
Logistics and Transportation:
- Transport necessary equipment to and from the school when required
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is strongly preferred
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children in an educational, recreational, or coaching environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for a variety of sports and physical activities, with the ability to adapt to different age groups
- Relevant qualifications in PE, Sports Coaching, or Childcare (preferred)
- First Aid certification (preferred)
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (required)
