The primary purpose of this role is airport and mechanical systems application (Baggage and related systems) support, release management and system administration of mission critical airport and mechanical applications to ensure system availability is met and to minimise any potential business impacts associated.
- Support, manage and maintain critical airport and mechanical systems to ensure that agreed system uptime targets are met and exceeded
- Participate with peers and service groups to ensure on-time execution of all new deliverables
- Agree and deliver on yearly objectives set by Airport Applications Team Lead cascaded from daa IT scorecard
- Assist in managing customer and supplier relationships for supported systems to ensure that contractual agreements are met to maximize their value
- Plan and Provide Release Management and change control for system upgrades and product enhancements to ensure that risk is managed effectively and that improvements in application functionality are applied effectively and with minimal risk or impact
- Lead and provide input into the technology plan & lifecycle
- Produce documented processes and relevant support documentation to ensure effective and efficient work practices and meet audit standards
- Participate in outside business hours’ assignments for the deployment of changes to production systems
- Resolve technical issues upon escalation from first level support
- Escalation liaison with other technical teams for problem / analysis / resolution
- Operate, maintain, and enhance Airport/Mechanical Applications, including baggage systems and supporting the operation of daa’s internal business units and external customers
- Continuous development of plans for failover and testing of critical systems to ensure resilience is in place and tested
- Clearly escalate incidents and problems internally and with external parties where required
- Participate in on-call rota to provide afterhours support for internal business units and external customers.
Experience
- 3+ Years of cloud database management experience with proven record.
Skills
- Excellent working knowledge of operating systems including MS Windows and Linux OS
- Good working knowledge of network protocols and topologies, wireless networks
- Good knowledge of databases including Oracle and MS SQL
- Excellent working knowledge of HHT devices
- Good business knowledge of Airline/Airport Operations

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, or a related field.
Other
- Flexibility to perform tasks outside of normal course of work when needed – such as production deployment support, on call arrangements, DR exercise if required
