Fota Island Resort is currently recruiting for a Bar Supervisor to join our professional Food and Beverage team in the hotel.
The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of food and beverage, excellent organisational skills, and a genuine passion for hospitality. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

What We Are Looking For:
- 2 years' experience in a similar supervisory role, ideally in a hotel setting
- Third-level hospitality qualification or equivalent
- Intermediate computer skills
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and beverage service
- Fire, Health & Safety awareness and training
- Strong restaurant and bar service skills; full implementation of SOPs
- Ability to lead a team and manage functions
- Staff management experience (labour costs, performance, attendance)
- Fluent English and full eligibility to work in Ireland
- Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings
Responsibilities:
- Supervise all bar services in the hotel
- Ensure the team consistently delivers and exceeds guest expectations
- Plan and lead daily team briefings
- Provide accurate, up-to-date product knowledge to guests and staff
- Assign stations and responsibilities during service
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
- Ensure correct setup of the bar before service and smooth handovers
- Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure seamless service
