BI Data Engineer

Due to continued growth, we are currently hiring a BI Data Engineer to join our team. Our consultancy specializes in providing business and technology services to clients in all sectors.

You will be responsible for designing, building, and delivering meaningful, interactive BI and Management Information reports; creating data-driven insights and helping shape business strategies by delivering clear, impactful visualizations and reports.

A snapshot of your key responsibilities:

• Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to design and build Power BI solutions that meet business needs.
• Develop interactive and meaningful BI and MI reports using Power BI, ServiceNow Reports, and other relevant visualization tools.
• Work closely with business end users and analytics teams to understand their business domain and requirements, including regulatory reporting.
• Ensure that the BI solutions align with regulatory reporting requirements and other business needs.
• Liaise with strategic partners to advance the Data Sharing and Open Data Agenda.
• Foster collaboration and data sharing initiatives with external partners.
• Drive data sharing initiatives by implementing modern data extraction and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Implement data extraction and transformation processes to support BI initiatives.
• Use visualization/analytics to help solve business challenges, from insight to action.
• Provide actionable insights through advanced data analytics/visualization techniques.
• Create compelling and interactive data visualization dashboards. Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and provide valuable insights to stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• Relevant work experience in data engineering roles
• Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
• Certifications in data engineering or associated areas
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Java)
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse)
• Proven experience in designing and building BI solutions using Power BI.
• Strong understanding of data visualization techniques and technologies.
• Experience with regulatory reporting is a plus.
