As an Innovative Data Platform Digital Solution Engineer (DSE), you will play a pivotal role in helping enterprises unlock the full potential of Microsoft’s cloud database and analytics stack across every stage of deployment. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering leaders and platform teams to accelerate the Fabric Data Platform, including Cloud & AI Databases and Analytics, through hands-on engagements like Proof of Concepts, hackathons, and architecture workshops. - Tailors Microsoft standard messaging to audience using knowledge of specific Microsoft products.
- Learns about Microsoft capability to contribute to strategy development and how to provide strategic and technical input.

- Reviews customer interactions and raises and acts on customer compete information to contribute to development and landing of compete strategies.
- Learns how to serve as the voice of the customer (VOC) through feedback, blockers, insights, and resources (e.g., unified action tracker [UAT], technical feedback platform across communities).
- Assists team members to monitor, analyze, or implement action plans to promote customer usage of key/prioritized Microsoft solutions/products that support customer’s business outcomes.
Scale Customer Engagements
- Engages other resources (e.g., product and engineering teams) and learns to leverage programs and investments (e.g., Microsoft Technology Center [MTC], exec briefing center, partner workshops) with support from peers.
- Develops understanding of standards and best practices (e.g., managed service provider [MSP], managed certified professional [MCP]). May support customer engagements through pre-sales activities while utilizing common sales and delivery methodology for the Microsoft sales organization.

Leverages partner/customer teams as needed to prove product capabilities and integration into customer environment. Reviews partner demonstrations and provides feedback to ensure alignment with Microsoft standards with guidance.
Technical Leadership
- Ensures customer technical teams are aware of and leveraging available for-scale skilling programs
- May participate in local Microsoft tech community sessions, hackathon, attend community calls, etc.
- Consumes and leverages readiness materials to expand domain knowledge and practices expertise by communicating with customers, partners, and senior colleagues.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field OR equivalent experience.
- Technical Communication skills: The ability to adapt communications around different technologies, products, and services to the audience's level of understanding.
- Problem Solving: The ability to identify problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Presentation Delivery: The ability to deliver formal presentations to others. This includes sharing information on a range of topics in a clear, concise, engaging and convincing manner; commanding the audience’s attention; using effective presentation materials.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field AND 2+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience. 1+ year(s) experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
- Creativity: The ability to apply ingenuity, inventiveness, and imagination to the inclusive design and construction of a product, service, program, or initiative.

- Microsoft Products: Knowledge of Microsoft products/services and the ability to participate in technical conversations related to products/services. Fundamental or Intermediate level credentials/certifications on Microsoft of competitive Cloud and/or AI Platforms, or willingness to attain the right technical certifications required for the role.
