We are a dynamic and growing wholesale/distribution company seeking a competent and experienced Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of bookkeeping in a commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
- Prepare VAT, Vies and Intrastat returns and liaise with external accountants
- Prepare end of year accounts
- Generate financial reports as needed
- Monitor cash flow and support financial planning
- Ensure pricing accuracy and enter supplier invoices into the accounting system - sage 50
- Provide general administrative support as needed and assisting with other office tasks
Requirements:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping (3+ years preferred)
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., sage 50)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
