The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Compliance Analyst to join our MFM team as part of our financial services business in Dublin.
MFM is the Maples Group's Alternative Investment Fund Manager and UCITS Management Company providing services to clients wishing to establish fund structures in the EU. Within excess $12bn in funds under management held across 100 Funds approximately, MFM is one of the leading providers of 3rd party hosted management company services.
Key Duties:
Reporting to the Head of Compliance for MFM, the Compliance Analyst will have a varied and dynamic role, including but not limited to the following:
- Ensuring that MFM is at all times duly authorised to carry out its business in accordance with the provisions of the rules of the relevant regulator
- Conducting AML Due Diligence and risk assessments
- Investigating potential AML/CFT Sanction Breaches
- Managing correspondence with the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI)
- Escalating issues on a timely basis
- Ensuring regulatory returns are submitted to the CBI on a timely basis
- Preparing board reports for quarterly client board meetings
- Monitoring, reviewing and challenging report from delegates
- Execute monitoring tasks in line with the Compliance Monitoring Plan
- Assist in reviewing and updating of compliance policies and procedures
- Keeping abreast of regulatory and financial market developments
- Carrying out research and analysis into topics of a regulatory nature
- Responding to ad-hoc queries as necessary.
Requirements:
In addition, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- Up to 1 year of experience within similar compliance or legal role
- Experience in financial services would be beneficial
- Ability to work under their own initiative
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Qualification in Business, Risk or Compliance would be beneficial
- Excellent Team Player
- An analytical and enquiring personality
- Ability to act with honesty, integrity, and authenticity at all times
Fitness and Probity:
This role is ‘Controlled Function’ as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations.
The holder of the position must comply with Fitness and Probity Standards (Code issued under Section 50 of the Central Bank Reform Act 2010, amended 2023) and conduct standards of behaviour (under Central Bank Individual Accountability Framework (IAF) Act 2023).
