We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Construction Surveyor to join our team in Limerick.
Responsibilities:
Precisely set out critical structural elements such as foundations, steelwork, concrete frames, and anchor bolts per design specifications and tolerances.
Carry out topographical and engineering surveys to support layout planning and design verification.
Use and maintain modern survey equipment including robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS systems, digital levels, and laser scanners.
Interpret and apply data from CAD drawings, BIM models, and engineering documentation to the field environment.
Collaborate closely with design engineers, construction teams, and site supervisors to ensure site layouts are executed to exact specifications.
Maintain and update control points, benchmarks, and site coordinate systems.
Record and maintain accurate survey data, setting-out reports, and as-built documentation for QA/QC purposes.
Flag inconsistencies between design and actual conditions, proposing adjustments when required.
Perform as-built surveys to confirm installed works meet dimensional and geometric design standards.
Adhere to company and statutory safety and quality standards during all survey operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree or diploma in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of practical experience in site surveying or setting out, ideally in structural or infrastructure works.
Strong proficiency with survey instruments and associated software (e.g., Leica Captivate, Trimble, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, or similar tools).
Knowledge of coordinate systems, geodetic principles, construction tolerances, and datum conversions.
Experience working with digital construction models (e.g., BIM-based setting out).
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver millimeter-accurate work in complex site conditions.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with a collaborative team mindset.
