The Cyber Security Project Manager will plan, coordinate, and deliver cybersecurity projects and workstreams across technical and business domains, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity strategy, regulatory obligations, risk posture, and enterprise delivery standards.

The Opportunity
The Cyber Security Project Manager will plan, coordinate, and deliver cybersecurity projects and workstreams across technical and business domains, ensuring alignment with cybersecurity strategy, regulatory obligations, risk posture, and enterprise delivery standards.
This role is critical in translating cybersecurity initiatives into actionable delivery plans, managing cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring timely, effective, and secure implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the successful delivery of cybersecurity projects across the full lifecycle—from initiation to closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, success criteria, resource allocations, and delivery timelines.
- Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration across internal teams (e.g., Security Engineering, IT Operations) and manage third-party vendors to ensure seamless execution.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including integrated schedules, risk and issue logs, RAID registers, and status reports.
- Identify and manage critical dependencies, ensuring delivery against milestones using recognised project management frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies and escalating where necessary.
- Partner with Cyber GRC and business risk owners to document, track, and address cybersecurity risk acceptance and remediation actions.
- Oversee change management processes impacting project scope, timeline, or budget.
- Act as the primary liaison for all project stakeholders, ensuring clear, consistent, and timely communication.
- Facilitate governance forums—including steering committees, stakeholder working groups, and agile sessions—to align priorities, resolve blockers, and maintain project momentum.
- Deliver transparent and data-driven project reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), budget adherence, risk posture, and delivery status.
- Ensure all cybersecurity deliverables are thoroughly tracked, evidenced, and auditable in accordance with compliance and assurance standards.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in project management or business management
- Project Management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 desirable
- 8+ years of experience in project management roles, with at least 2 years in IT or Cybersecurity projects.
- Project experience with Cybersecurity tools and technologies, IT infrastructure, and Cloud technologies
- Proven project management skills with experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risks and devise mitigation strategies.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present technical topics to non-technical audiences.
- Leadership skills to drive cross-departmental collaboration and maintain accountability for cybersecurity objectives.
- Experience delivering in regulated environments.
