About the role
In response to the rapidly growing demand for data privacy and internet regulations services, our Digital Trust & Privacy team is expanding, offering you the opportunity to play a pivotal role in governance, risk and compliance engagements for some of the world’s leading organisations. You'll gain hands-on experience in a variety of critical data privacy and internet regulations functions, working closely with senior team members to deliver impactful solutions through premium advisory services, operating model transformation and delivery, and large-scale operate offerings.
•    Conduct Privacy Assessments: Perform data protection assessments and gap analyses, ensuring robust controls across the personal data lifecycle.
•    Design Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Frameworks: Contribute to the creation and operationalisation of customised privacy policies and frameworks that meet client needs, including related frameworks for trustworthy technology across large Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) clients. This will include supporting the setup of specific second line of defence functions such as Trust & Safety.
•    Regulatory Decompositions: Analysing and getting thorough understanding of data privacy and internet regulations that could impact the strategic direction of our clients.
•    Develop Training Programs: Assist in the design and delivery of tailored training and awareness programs to empower clients in data privacy and trustworthy technology best practices.
•    Manage Compliance: Supporting clients with specific regulatory compliance obligations including maintenance of records of processing, completion of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), ensuring end-to-end data retention compliance, systemic risk assessments, transparency reporting, and regulatory readiness assessments.

About You
•    Desire to work in a constantly changing environment as part of a team of data privacy and/or internet regulations specialists.
•    Ideally 3-4 years of client facing experience in the provision of data privacy and/or internet regulatory services in a professional services environment or equivalent industry experience.
•    Extensive knowledge of data privacy and internet regulation requirements and best practice.
•    Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, regulations, and emerging data privacy and internet regulation trends and to adapt to changing client needs and regulatory frameworks.
•    Strong technical skill set and understanding of the technical implications of data privacy and internet regulations across various technologies and platforms, with the ability to apply privacy by design.
•    Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations.
•    Strong ability to engage with clients to build strong relationships, contribute to meetings and ongoing communications and to take the lead in discussions.
•    Ability to think beyond baseline compliance to supporting a particular business need and the governance, risk and compliance requirements.
•    A good understanding of mapping data flows and identifying risks.
•    Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
•    Excellent report writing skills.
•    Ability and willingness to provide guidance and support to junior team members, through collaborative problem-solving and knowledge sharing and assisting in coordinating and overseeing tasks.
•    Holds data privacy or internet regulations related professional certification such as IAPP, or has a privacy engineering background, however this is not a must.
•    Experience or professional certification in project or program management is preferred, however this is not a must.

If you believe that you meet most of the criteria above, we encourage you to apply. Deloitte is an equal opportunities employer and will ensure any reasonable accommodations are implemented as part of the recruitment and selection process.
