The Role
As Director of Quality, you'll design, implement, and manage APC's Quality Management Strategy for projects managed from our Limerick base. You will ensure full compliance with ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards, embed a culture of "first-time-right" delivery, and work closely with engineering, procurement, and project teams. This is a full-time, Limerick Head Office-Based role. Overseas candidates will be considered, with visa sponsorship and relocation allowance available if required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of APC's Quality Management Strategy from our Limerick head office.
- Maintain and enhance our ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System.
- Ensure compliance with European standards (e.g., PED, EN 1090, EN ISO 3834).
- Oversee project-specific quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and partner quality performance.
- Champion proactive defect prevention and operational excellence.
- Lead quality audits and drive effective corrective actions.
- Support business development through technical reviews and quality input.
- Mentor and guide quality managers and engineers.
Integration with OEM Partners and Key Industry Stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with OEM partners and other strategic industry stakeholders.
- Ensure seamless integration of APC's quality processes with the technical requirements, specifications, and quality assurance frameworks of OEM partners and stakeholders.
- Act as the primary quality liaison during project planning, execution, and commissioning stages, ensuring alignment on documentation, inspections, and compliance.
- Facilitate collaborative problem-solving with partners to address technical challenges and continuously improve project delivery.
Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Lead and oversee APC's Integrated Management System, ensuring seamless integration of Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental systems into a unified, auditable framework.
- Maintain alignment with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certification requirements.
- Collaborate closely across all functions within APC to deliver a cohesive, continually improving IMS.
- Drive consistency in document control, internal audits, and non-conformance management processes.
- Promote the IMS as a cornerstone of operational excellence, risk management, and continual improvement.

- Experience working with and integrating processes with OEM partners and key industry stakeholders in the power generation sector.
